【小托福考试】小托福阅读题型之五----目的题解析

　　小托福阅读题型分为六种，分别是主旨题（Main idea），目的题（Purpose），推断题（Inference），指代题（Reference），词义理解题（Word Meaning），细节题（Detail）,今天继续跟大家分享下目的题的做法吧~
　　目的题，此类题型需要考生理解作者写这篇文章或文中某一个部分的目的。这类考题主要包括两种问话：一是作者写整篇文章的目的和意义；二是作者在文中提到某句话或者某个观点的目的或者作用。
　　典型的问法包含如下↓↓↓
　　What is the purpose of the article?
　　Why did the writer the letter?
　　Why does the author mention---?
　　Why did the author write the announcement?

　　目的题在小托福阅读中分为两类：一类是题目会涉及到作者写整篇文章的目的。这类文体主要出现在Note，Announcement或者E-mail等文本形式中。很明显，作者写此类文章的目的是要告知某件事情或者传递某些信息，这种问法需要把握全局，联系全文，推论出*符合提议的答案。
　　另一类是题目常常会涉及作者在文中提到某句话或者某个观点的目的和作用。这种问法涉及到细节内容，不需要把握全局，或需要关注句子或段落之间的逻辑关系，在上下文中寻求答案。
　　Passage:On Saturday， December 12th , from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M., Calverton Middle School will be holding a music festival in the school gymnasium. The special event will feature a variety of professional musicians and singers.We are looking for Calverton students to help with the jobs.Interested students should speak with Ms. Braxton, the music teacher. The students who would like to help at the festival must have written permission from a parent or guardian.

　　考生通读全文可知，这是一篇公告。Announcement, Note和E-mail这些文体都有很强的目的性，即告知某件事情或者是为了传递某些信息。
　　本篇Announcement在第一段落介绍了学校将在体育馆举办一次音乐节，届时会有许多专业的音乐家和歌手参加这次活动。在第二段的开头作者表明了通知的目的："We are looking for Calverton students to help with the jobs",然后说明了报名要求和报名方式。由此可知，该通知的目的并不在于通知音乐会的时间和地点，而是招募志愿者，因此答案为选项B。选项A、C和D均不是作者写这篇通知的目的。
