中级口译翻译基本技能：直译与意译

　　笔试分为听力、阅读、翻译(英译汉、汉译英)三个部分，考生在练习翻译的时候需要注意运用一些基本的技能，能提高考生的翻译水平，裕德口译为各位考生整理了翻译中*主要的方法，也是考生在训练中*常见的问题，供大家备考使用。

　　直译与意译是翻译中*常见的问题，也是*主要的两个翻译方法。所谓直译，就是既保持原文内容、又保持原文形式的翻译方法或翻译文学。译文的语言(或始发语与原文的语言(或目的语)常常拥有相同的表达形式来体现同样的内容，并能产生同样的效果。在这种情况下，我们就采用直译。

　　所谓意译，就是保持原文内容、不保持原文形式的翻译方法或翻译文字。译文的语言(或始发语)与原文的语言(目的语)在许多情况下并没有同样的表达形式来体现同样的内容，更谈不上产生同样的效果。自这种情况下，一般采用意译为好。

　　例如：

　　1)There is no way of proving this point.

　　直译：现在没有办法证明这一点。

　　意译：这一点尚无定论。

　　2) An organization that has open lines of communication with valid, honest information going up, down, and throughout the organization will be much more effective and a much better place to work in than the organization that attempts to restrict the flow of information or distort and deceive.

　　直译：一个企业如果具备公开的传播渠道，公司上级、下级、同级之间传递真实、可信的信息，比起那些试图限制信息流通、歪曲甚至欺骗的企业来说，将会有更高的效率，并是一个更适宜于工作的地方。

　　意译：如果一个企业具备公开的传播渠道，企业内部信息传播流畅、内容真实可信，比起那些试图封闭信息，歪曲甚至欺骗的企业来说，将会有更高的工作效率，更好的工作环境。

　　3)Restricting communication and distorting information are symptoms of short-range thinking.

　　直译1：限制沟通和曲解信息是企业缺乏远见的前兆。

　　直译2：限制沟通和曲解信息是企业目光短浅的前兆。

　　4)Think tanks and university research institutes are nonprofit organizations that have been developed to provide settings for experts in various academic disciplines.

　　直译：智囊团和大学生的研究机构是非赢利性组织，为不同学术领域的专家提供了环境。

　　意译：智囊团和大学生的研究机构是非赢利性组织，为不同学术领域的专家提供了舞台。

　　5)Their expanding appetite for imports would have bolstered the Unite States and so-called emerging market countries from Brazil to South Korea.

　　直译：那些国家对进口需求很大，刺激了美国和一些所谓新兴市场国家诸如巴西、韩国。

　　意译：那些国家热衷于进口，确实给美国和一些所谓新兴市场国家诸如巴西、韩国打了一针强心剂。

　　6)The project budget sustains both the existence of graduate students and the fiscal solvency of the university, which takes a percentage “overhead” out of every project budget.

　　直译：项目预算维持着研究生的存在和大学的资金偿还能力，大学的资金偿还在整个项目预算中占有重要比例。

　　意译：研究生是否存在，大学是否存在资金偿还能力，这些都取决于项目预算。大学的资金偿还在整个项目预算中占有重要比例。

　　意译：This meeting will, centering round the theme of “Meeting new challenges in the new century:achieving common prosperity through participation and cooperation”, review the agenda under 5 heads with a view to promoting the economic and trade development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world at large.
