英语夏令营：英语学习多姿多彩！

今天，外教交给我们的任务竟然是提问？！这一任务让我们颇感新奇和为难，新奇的是，我们已经习惯回答老师的问题，几乎都没有尝试过自己提出问题；为难的是，我们一开始绞尽脑汁，却想不出什么好问题，不免心里有些着急。

Today, the task given by the foreign teacher was to ask questions, which was really difficult and novel for us. What was novel is that we are used to answer the questions but barely try to ask questions by ourselves; what was difficult is that we were worried that we could not come up with good questions. 

不过，渐渐地，在老师的引导下，我们找到了“感觉”，思维也活跃起来，一个个有创意的问题跃然纸上，这让大家都备受鼓舞。通过这次的小练习，我发现自己又重新找回好奇心，也让我明白，“善于发问”其实是学习的一个重要部分，因为只有带着问题学习才能主动汲取知识，而非被动接受。

However, we gradually became active under the guidance of the teacher and creative questions flowed out onto the paper which made us encouraged. Through this practice, I found my curiosity back and I understood that “being good at asking questions” is also an important part in learning because only studying with questions can make us learn knowledge actively rather than accept passively.

7月11日：外教们太可爱了

July 11^th : Foreign Teachers Are So Cute

虽然和外教们相处的时间还不长，但是我们都特别喜欢他们。每位外教都有自己的教学风格和方法，不过相似的是，他们对我们都很耐心。

It has not been long since we got along with our foreign teachers, but we are all fond of them. Every foreign teacher has their own teaching style and method. Similarly, they are all very patient to us.

刚开始上夏令营外教课时，我们都很紧张，因为英语的听说能力有限，别说开口表达自己的想法，就连要听懂外教说的内容，也感觉十分困难。好在外教们对于复杂的表达，都会“迁就”我们，通过丰富的肢体语言、重复关键语句、放慢语速等方式，帮助我们理解。我们逐渐没有了原先的紧张感，好像外教说的话也不再那么难懂，这样的变化让我们欣喜不已。

At the beginning of the summer camp, we were all very nervous because our English listening and spoken ability were poor. It was difficult to understand teachers’ words, let alone express our own ideas. Fortunately, foreign teachers helped us by rich body language, repeating key statements and speaking slowly. Gradually, we were not nervous any longer and found it not so difficult to understand the foreign teachers’ words any more. These changes made us encouraged and happy.

除了课堂上的学习外，外教们在课后也经常与我们互动。例如有一次，天气特别炎热，外教们就带着我们一起打水仗，玩得不亦乐乎，不仅午后的困意一扫而光，而且觉得和外教间的距离也近了不少。 

In addition to giving classes, the foreign teacher often communicated with us after class. For example, once it was very hot, the teachers took us to play water fight together which drove away the afternoon drowsiness and made us felt closer to the teachers.

坦率地说，原先我最怕的就是英语课，但经过这次夏令营，我发现其实学英语并不可怕，因为外教们真的是太可爱了。

Frankly speaking, I was afraid of English class most before. But after this summer camp, I found that English learning is enjoyable because our foreign teachers are really lovely.
